Streaming on budget cpus

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

You maybe can, but don't want to. For streaming you want 4 threads at the very least, but rather would have 8 threads.

You could look into getting a Dell business/school PC. They sometimes have i7's in them and are listed pretty cheap. Keep in mind they don't always use standard stuff. Otherwise you should look into the Xeon E3-1231. Those run on LGA 1150 motherboards.

Or take a look at Linus' 8 cores gaming machine for cheap video.

I'm planing of building my first pc and i'm on a budget. I want to know if you can stream on the new Pentium G4600.

Well, you can stream on it, but it might not be ideal depending on what you will be streaming

As in play games better than a PS4/Xbox One? Yeah for sure, with a GTX 950 or better it can play games much better.

May I suggest something like a FX6300? It's cheap, has 6 cores/threads, less hassle than a used xeon ect. ect. :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Not sure where OP is from (although I will guess the UK because of the name), but if he was from the US, Microcenter sometimes has bundle deals on FX 8320's with 970 motherboards.
