My Final New Build

6 minutes ago, Dawson Wehage said:

Alright so I have been having so many problems with my main PC. 1. It was a piece of shit when I built it. 2. Windows 10 likes freezing every 5 minutes, I've tried every fix but I was planning on selling my pig anyways.

So I put together a Canadian dollar build @ Memory Express, I will not be ordering online or going to another shop. I think I made a good build with the money I have. Pretty sure I shouldn't have any problems. Here it is. Btw I tried PCPP but I was having issues finding parts so I didn't bother, sorry for that. Please tell me if my build is good. I know for sure I am not changing the power supply or the case. It's the right size for the case I am using, and it's tier 2 @deXxterlab97thanks for the help on choosing one for me. The build is in the spoiler.  And the fans are coming later. Though I think the case comes with them.

CPU: Intel Core™ i5-7400 Processor $270
GPU: Asus ROG STRIX RX470 OC 8G GAMING $330
MB: MSI B250M BAZOOKA $120
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 2400MHz $80
FANS:
DRIVES: Seagate 1TB BarraCuda HDD $70, ADATA Ultimate SU800 $65
PSU: EVGA B2 Series 850W Bronze Semi Modular Power Supply $129
WIFI CARD (cause my card is shit atm): Asus PCE-AC55BT AC1200

i mean the b2 from evga is pretty good - but i think corsiar rmx or rmi may end up being cheaper than it, also, 8gb of ram may not be enough for serious gaming skype, teamspeak, music or discord in the background (fckin google chrome :( )

btw is a 1tb hdd really 70 bucks now? i thought the wd blue was only 60? and this http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX62286 kingston ssd is better than the adata at the same price

yup a 480 is a really good card for ultrawide setup at 1080p, if you want 1040p or 4k in the future throw in another 480.

I don't need a 480 man.

The 850B2 is actually fairly good value for money, I don't see a reason for OP not to get it unless a CX450M or EVGA GQ/GS or whatever else is drastically cheaper.

but for $130, you can do better

Crossfire

That board does not support crossfire in any way. Because it has only 1 PCIE x16

No I don't really want to go that route. You can't get $1000 gift cards from a store. plus tax, ugh it's just easier to go to a store and buy everything right away.

but what if when the games use more than 4gb of memory, that rx 470 RAW power will not be able to utilize it. its like the 2gb GT 610, its better off capped at 1gb

not sure what your talking about. the card should be fine to utilize the 8gb, if it needs too.
