My budget in usd is about $2110

Ok in that case I would go without the 1070 for now if the cores are more important, you can always add another later or even grab an 1180 etc:

I do a lot of 3D modelling, 3D Rigging, 3D animation, 2D painting (yes, 2D as well), 3D texture painting, 3D Rendering, as well as a lot of gaming. For the rendering, I will need to be able to handle multiple clips from 2-15 minutes with characters, environments, textures, and animation, all in one render. These animations will have MILLIONS of polygons. I need to render them fast. At the same time, I would love to save a few bucks ;)

So it seems you need a 5820k or a 6800k

what are you rendering with?

Id probably get a 7700k. Faster in everything but rendering, and its only about 10-20% slower, and if you really want to render fast, just get a render server.

I do a lot of gaming and 3D rendering and modelling. Not sure if gsync is worth it in this case

also gsync won't be worth it in modeling.

Gaming as well

Kind of depends on your workload split. If you're 3D rendering a lot more than gaming, going for the 6900K would be a good choice. If you're gaming more, 5820K is a good choice. For a 50-50 split, I would only go for the 6900K if you're getting paid for your 3D work. The 5820K will still do well for 3D work, but GSync makes a hell of a difference in games (provided you're not playing something like CS:GO, which is always over the refresh rate of your monitor.)

EDIT: Also, would advise a single 1080 over SLI 1070s

fyi for the 5820k I'd suggest 1x1080 vs 2x1070s, sli is generally not well supported and has a lot of downsides. get the single fastest GPU you can imo.

idk

1440p 144hz, 1x 1080, 5820K. the 5820K give a good balance of gaming and 3D work and can always put in a broadwell CPU in later.

Yup thought id already seen it and answered it, same as last time, 6950X aint worth in almost all cases - gsync if you game A LOT

Same answer as last time, go with a single 1070 for now, its more than fine for 1440P at the moment and add another later:

How would I go about setting up a quadro + geforce system? Im planning to put in an m2000 and a gtx 1070. One will be for gaming and one will be for 3D work. I will be getting a 6900k so you dont need to worry about pcie lanes

Just get a 1070 it will be much faster than the m2000 for almost any use.
