xD, you should stick to that job completely. If you worked for 9 hours a day there, you would be making more money than a network administrator in Portugal ahaha

t's a fun job. I get to tinker with technology all day, but can also be rather stressful when a customer's product is 100% in working order and I have to convince the customer that it is, in fact, working as it should without going insane.

Jesus, I'd be hitting my head off a wall haha

How old are you?(optional)

I'm classified by demographers as an "Adult": 25–64 years old.

Job title?

"Site Reliability Engineer". You can think of it as a programming job with a focus on distributed systems, security, automation, and performance optimization.

Wage(P/H in your currency)

If you take direct compensation and divide it by the number of hours worked in a week then it'll come out to approximately $85/hr.

This question doesn't work well for salaried workers. How should they handle 5 weeks of paid vacation when converting from yearly to hourly rates? What about "on-call emergencies" where they might work 20 hours of 'overtime' in a week with nothing but a couple of extra days off later in the year to offset the time?

A sizeable portion of many people's compensation packages is delayed or indirect too. Stock or option grants, expense accounts, bonuses, vocational training, etc. should be accounted for, but they can be difficult to assign a value to.

Nah my questions are ok, they are open to interpretation many people have coped fine answering :P

Whats a quick way to calculate yearly salary on a 40hrsx5daysx50weeks?

Lets say its $10/hr, well thats $400/wk and $20k/yr. So its double the hourly, and times it be 1000 or just add three zero's.

So if you make $15/hr its $30k/yr, $20/hr $40k/yr, $22 is 44, 26 is 52 so on so forth.

Some have to work 8.5 hours because of lunch break and you dont get paid for it.

I like math. To do it reverse, go from yearly wage to hourly, its just doing everything reverse. So $52,800/yr is $26.4/hr.

That is of course pre-tax. After tax would vary depending on the tax bracket and other factors.
