I need upgrade suggestions

Budget (including currency): $400-450

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly star citizen & modded minecraft

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want an upgrade for my gpu on my already built computer. I have a 1080p monitor so I would also like that upgraded to 1440p 165hz and included in the price.
Motherboard: Z690 PRO RS

CPU: i5 12600k

RAM: 4x8gb 3200mhz t-force vulcan z

GPU: MSI GTX 1650

Storage: Samsung 970 EVO plus 2TB

Your gpu would be the obvious upgrade but in order to do that you will have to upgrade your psu. That would exceed your budget.

not sure how you want to fit both monitor and GPU in such a small price,

 

1440p in modern games need powerful GPU, and powerful GPUs cost a lot,

if your demand for games isn't high and you just want powerful GPU for recent but not the newest games, I suppose something like 12GB could work,

 

in used market anything 5700 XT/1080Ti and faster, or brand new something like this:
