I know you said you didn't need a drive, but it would be a shame to go on AM5, with DDR5 and not have an NVMe to go along with it (they are dirt cheap these days, even for a Gen4). Also, you can get better CAS memory for £7 more, might be worth it.

Budget (including currency):  £400-£500 flexible budget .

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, vr gaming, os: windows 10 ( can't stand 11)

Monitors:

I have a 180hz 1440p 28" display and a oculus quest 2 ( I do plan on upgrading to a quest 3 or valve index 2 later on as I love my vr headset )

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have a 3060ti in my current build but it is 12 years old now my pc and I definitely need an upgrade , I'm looking to comfortably play games @ 1440p 120hz . I am fairly certain I want to go amd for my cpu as they have the best upgrade path down the line and that is a big point for me , I just need help choosing a cpu, motherboard , ram and a case ( I don't care too much for Rgb and aesthetics) I already have a 1 tb Samsung 780 evo sata drive.
