BenQ:

Asus:

Hey guys I was looking around the $600-$700 CAD for 30"+ monitor's & found the above 2 on sale.

Which one is better?

I found this comparison chart but I am not a technical person so don't really understand all the terms so can't decide what's better exactly:

http://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/f9dff052

2 things I found using the chart above was :

1) The Asus has "static contrast" ratio of 1200:1 while the benq has 3000:1.

2) The Asus has "dynamic contrast" ratio of 100000000:1 & benq has 200000000:1.

Thanks!

The BenQ monitor seems to be marketed toward graphic designers or anyone that would need color accuracy. It's a nice monitor form the looks of it and it alot more adjustable than the Asus one which basically can only tilt so I would go with the BenQ one just because it has more adjustability.

What if you have a 360 degree mount already?

Would you pay the $200 more for the BenQ?

I love watching movies/shows/video's on my monitor.

Yes because I wouldn't want to go through the trouble of mounting it xD

But in all seriousness you would be fine to go for the cheaper on as you won't readily see the difference in picture quality.

Are there any other 30"+ monitor's you would recommend vs these 2 for around $400-$700 CAD?

Haven't been looking at 30 inch monitors recently so I couldn't say.
