They were marketed at superior at launch, it is for that exact reason the 1080 and the 1070 are in different tiers

Is the tier for advertised performance or real-life performance

I would tier them by resolution or something. Which card gets the best framerate at different resolutions or something.

We're talking about the 1060 6g and RX 480. They should both be on the same tier as the 980.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

The Titans are always in a tier of their own and I'm just not going to mention other ranking systems like price to performance.

Im trying to just do a simple ranking system that goes across the board, mostly from real life performance, but I dont want to go too precise because fanboys wont agree whatever the ranks and benchmarks will be too precise and margin of error will make it complicated etc...

they are "pay premium just to be allowed to say you have one" and a bit more performance over the "80" class but gets equalized by the "80 ti" class (or even detroned if you count the FPS per dollar)

Made a list to help many people since this kind of question gets asked oftenly,

if you dont understand that the best is at the top you never used a ranking list in your life

getting too precise would be confusing, so yes GPU name to class tiers is all you need
