Call of Duty: Ghosts Native 1080p on PS4, Upscaled on Xbox One

it probably does... but I do agree it's comparing two things that are pretty much similar (especially when compared with pc)

yeah thats true

Wasn't EA saying next gen consoles were 8-10 times more powerful than "the best pc"?

probably just to get more people to get consoles so they can squeeze all the money out of our pockets oh EA!

In reality, it's all about how the developers are familiar with the hardware made available. I bet in 2-3 years and Call of Duty 10 comes out, it'll run in 60FPS and 1080p on both consoles.

Hahaha "Next Gen" and we are talking about CoD in the first Year how will it be in 4 Years :o(And we can run everything in 4K by then with our awesome Volta GPUs with stacked Dram :D )

1080p is already standart for us and in 3-4 Years 1440p+ will be standart.

4k will be the standard before 2560x1440. 4k is being pushed very hard right now unlike 1440P. So i would look out for 4k rather than 2.5k :P

True. After 1080p here it comes 2160p.

I'll stick to Nintendo. At least they focus on games and not being a try hard PC wannabe.

Meh, won't care about CoD ever again. I would buy it if there was a campaign-only version.

I don't think so,because of 1 simple reason its way to demanding.

Try to run Battlefield 4,Crysis 3 or Star Citizen Maxed out on 4K "Good Luck with that".

And the games will get even more demanding in a few years.

But with very similar specs, PS4 could not have that much of an advantage. Or maybe they do. I dont know.

well they are APUs and xbone has slow memory so....

Well, when the specs were first released the numbers had the PS4 at an extra 50% more power over the Xbone in addition to the faster memory. Since then I also heard that the "more power" wasn't really going to be all that significant for whatever reason, maybe something about the clock speeds... there were lots of rumors, but it's not like the people writing them had benchmarks they could run or even hardware to test subjectively. As for the RAM speeds... Xbone has some kind of "special cache" or something that's supposed to make up for the slower memory by putting some frequently accessed info on a separate, faster bus. Perhaps that's harder to code for than just faster raw memory, thus games that have a fixed release date decided to go with lower performance on that system in order to get it out on time.

Basically, who knows. If they could have done 1080p on the Xbone in the available time then they would have, but apparently it's easier to reach on the PS4.

720p? Oh that thing we gamed on a few decades ago? Of Microsoft discovered it? Great! >_> the only reason I see why you'd get a "next-gen" console would be for exclusives, but that's what I think about pretty much any generation of consoles. Still happy to have a ps3 though, no need to buy a blu-ray player :)

APU's only benefit from fast memory if the GPU on the chip is doing the graphics processing. They have dedicated GPUs.

i guess, but they could be running crossfirex, in wich case it would matter :P

probably constant 60fps... the only reason to lower resolution in xb1 is to get solid 60fps no matter what.

They are not targetting 60fps only 30fps
