i have my mother board sitting flat and i want my graphics card to face up

Too small is it an itx system???

No such thing as motherboard is too small. There can be motherboard it too big when you buy a ITX case and ATX board. Your graphic card goes into the x16 slot and most of the time it should not hit anything that's around it.
