What would YOU want for Christmas?

dizmo

I know most of the people on this forum are youngin's, so I have a question for you.

What would you want for Christmas?

Something under $50.

Trying to think of ideas for my 16 or 17 year old cousin.

I already got him:

  • $40 Cineplex gift card
  • Chocolates
  • Body scrubber
  • Soap
  • Ikea lamp with RGB bulb for mood lighting
  • The Art of War
  • Hot chocolate recipe book (he loves hot chocolate)
  • Titanium key holder

But that's all stuff for his stocking. I can't think of a gift gift. Feed me with ideas!

Already have more than I get people xD

Generally my favorite things to get a few years ago were gift cards, sports clothes, games, food and that's about it besides things like utility knives.

I personally would ask for a Steam gift card. If he's a gamer then there's no doubt he'll put that to good use when the Holiday Sale comes around.

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

If someone said they'd get me anything I wanted, up to $50, I would choose one of the following:

1) $50 worth of beer

2) $50 worth of crafting materials for my own beer

3) A used P67/Z68 motherboard so I can pair it with an i7-2600K

4) A pair of NF-F12s (Preferably, one 1500RPM normal one and one 2000RPM iPPC one).

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

He's kind of a nerd, I think? He used to really like dinosaurs. And I believe he only has a few friends, and as far as I know he's never had a girlfriend before. He also doesn't drive. That'd of course make it too easy.

I got him a book, and I think I got him a mug last year. Any food ideas? Something that'd stand up to shipping.

Steam Gift Card?

Is he into tech? What kind of stuff does he Like? Personally I like anything to do with lighting. Check out hitlights.com.

He doesn't game. That's a pretty cool site! I'll have to bookmark it for later use. I'm a little leery of buying anything from the US, since it'd have to get here, and then sent there.

Haha, sadly I've already gotten most of those things. Which makes it so much harder.

Nah, he doesn't game. My dad does though, and you're right, makes his Christmas shopping so much easier. Last year I got him an SSD, new 1tb HDD, and a $100 Steam gift card. This year will be another Steam gift card.

Dry snacks in a sealed container would do okay, so long as they're not like.. thin wafers. Is there any kind of snack type they like?

As many Trump posters as $50 can buy...

Maybe paint his room? Get some realy posters/decor. DIY lamp? Stuff you could do together for under $50, but I'm sure the time together is worth a little more than that.

Computers r fun

Maybe a gift card to his favorite restaurant/place to eat? That might be better than actually buying him the food itself.

I usually try and get things that people haven't tried before. It's important to expand the mind and be open to new things ;)

Already got him a lamp. Haha, I don't think a 17 year old would think painting his room is a good gift? Plus we live thousands of kilometers apart. He's already got a hard enough time making friends, wouldn't want to drive any away with Trump posters! ;)

I don't think he really has a favorite place to eat. Him and his mom hop around to different places pretty frequently.

I guess there's always Tim Hortons. He is Canadian after all.

I'm out of ideas. You've done a really good job getting him gifts already and your "stocking stuffers" are what I'd consider great present material. It seems that he doesn't want software or anything gaming-related, and that food could be a nightmare to get him (unless you just take him to dinner?).

Congratulations. You're so good of a gift-giver that you've already gotten him everything I can think of. Think of his niche interests (if he has any): is there anything you could get him that he specifically would like?
