How long should an email take?

Its been 12 hours and I am waiting on a activation link from Bell. I started the activation at 3am Pacific time zone.

The activation linke expires in 24 hours.

No I tried to get another activation code, rechecking email. Email was typed in correctly.

That is possible, though I did double check folders before I deleted all. I looked at the date, and it would have been in the first email slot.

12 hours is quite a lot. I think the longest it's taken to get an activation email was about 1-2 hours tops. (And that was probably something buggy on their end for sending the activations out)

It's never taken me less than thirty seconds. Either on your end or on theirs, something is wrong.

Something could be wrong with your email. I always get emails like these within a minute. Do you have another email account, such as a Gmail account that you could try?

Hotmail often has problems with automatic "account activation" type emails.

It might be a problem with Hotmail.  Often when Amazon sends me an email to my Hotmail account for a shipping return label it doesn't show up.  They sometimes have to send it multiple times or wait a few minutes to try resending it before it finally shows up.

Bigger companies have sometimes issues with their automated systems. I've gone 3 days without activation codes and then requested again and got them both within 5 mins.

my gmail happened quickly, just received it within seconds

maybe I typed it in wrong originally, maybe I did not.
