Posted December 1, 2016 I like the evolv just because the evolv styling is good. I also like that they included a 200mm fan to actually use the space available in the front. Phanteks is just a good manufacturer overall, they add nice touches and the cases are high quality.
 Posted December 1, 2016 I like them both almost equally. I can't really chose between them. I like each of thier designs in thier own different way. The manta looks fantastic in a minimalistic setup which is what I'm all about but the evolv just looks plain beautiful
 The evolv has just too many details to be minimalistic. But the manta is too plain (which isn't bad) for a gaming look
 Posted December 1, 2016 Manta won't age well, and I'd say the the Evolv is a better case overall. The new Lian Li PC-Q37 mITX would be my choice though for an ITX build... glass always wins any case contest though... vs acrylic it's just hands down a million times better in every sense, unless you consider the extra weight a disadvantage. Posted December 1, 2016 Phanteks dropped the ball on the Evolv itx tbh. Compared to the bigger cases, it looks cheap with the plastic vs the alu panels of the original. Manta looks pretty good, but it misses the point of being an itx chassis given the massive footprint. When an itx chassis has around the same volume of a standard tower, something went wrong. I recently built my mom a PC in the Evolv ITX and it didn't really feel cheap IMO, I thought it was quite nice. For the $59 we got it for I think it was fantastic. Maybe "cheap" isn't the right term, but I do wish Phanteks kept the entire line with thick alu panels instead of cutting corners so to speak on the itx version vs its bigger brothers. No bad thing necessarily for a scratch build as they are soon good SFX PSUs available now, but no good if you already have an ATX one. If they didn't do that, the case would be a lot more than the ~70$ it hovers at, probably closer to 100-140 I'd imagine.
