What kind of RAID options does this motherboard offer?

Don't use mobo raid.  Use a raid card from the likes of lsi or adaptec, or use software raid, like zfs, btrfs, md, storage spaces.

 

It supports raid 0,10,1,0,5

I used softraid last time, I'm considering RAID 0 with 2x3TB WD Red HDDs... not sure if it's worth the extra cost of hard raid (unless it's not that costly for the card). I used mdadm soft raid on the old computer. A card would rock if sensible for only 2 drives. I'm curious, why not use mobo raid?
