After looking at reviews on newegg everyone has bad things to say about asus MBs anyone think I should stay away from asus?

i have used asus mbs since i got into pc gaming they have never let me down

Rampage V Extreme.

 

Budget mid tier stuff is probably trash. High end is where it's at.

If you plan on overclocking your HWE or BWE chip, you might want to stick with Asus.

 

They are the only boards that maximize CPU cache overclocks well.  Memory performance is better on Asus boards as well.  

 

For a simple CPU overclock only, just about any other manufacturer will be fine.

I'd say budget is trash, but mid tier and up is great.  Don't hate because you have a badass R5E.  :P

Never really experienced mid tier as far as boards go. that's probably why.
