Made a build. Can I run most games on High and make Youtube vids?

Doesn't look too bad, however you may want the 6600k for Overclocking and you're definitely going to want a CPU cooler.

Yes and No

If you want high settings for most games (assuming BF1, DeusEx, Skyrim, so on) a 470 won't do.

Recording good quality video is very demanding.

At the end of the day you'll be able to record and edit video.

I disagree about the cooler, i have used the 6500 with the stock cooler and it topped out at ~ 75 degrees under aida 64. While certainly high, it is within the "safe" threshold and it was very quite.

I was saying if they decide to get an overclock-able CPU to get a cooler so they can actually overclock safely, this will help with recording while gaming. @bgibbz

at a minimum switch to a 1050 or 1050 ti. if you want to record/stream on a budget build, go green team for shadow play. That'll let you stream or record without hurting your fps.

Build: Intel S2600gz, 2x E5-2670, EVGA SC 1070, Zotac 1060 6GB mini, 48GB Micron 1333mhz ECC DDR3, 2x Intel DPS-750XB 750 watt PSU

Sorry to ask but do you think you could just edit the list for me because I'm really new to this and it would be a big help and give me a better idea on things.

The list that @azb_ edited looks great to be honest. However if you don't want the i7 just swap that out for the i5 6600k. The i7 has 4 cores with hyperthreading which gives it 8 virtual cores essentially. The i5 does not have hyperthreading, meaning it's solely a 4-core processor.

If he buy an Nvidia GPU, SHadowplay will do the recording side job which will be in great quality and without loosing fps.

It does not need hyperthreading... it has 4 cores. Hyperthreading is useful to get extra threads like an i3 with 2 cores and 4 threads or i7 with 4 cores 8 threads

Valid point.

@Striker123987 You will either have to upgrade to a better z170 Motherboard or stick with a non-K CPU.

Sorry I missed that, at work currently.

That's why I'd recommend getting nvidia over amd. Shadow play with nvidia cards fixes that.

I just left the k series on the b150 just for upgrading purposes, so if he decides later that the performance is not good enough, he can just upgrade the mobo and overclock.
