Your phone activity will now effect your Credit Score/Rating

I guess since I don't like to text  or talk much on the phone means that means that my score is now going to drop? I have near perfect credit as it is, I don't need this.

How they come up with this garbage ... *facepalm*

I think that'd be their line of thought.

That'd be hilarious.

Sooner or later this shit is going to get out of control, and the government will have to pass an internet bill of rights, prohibiting corporations from spying on people as a requisite for using their products.

One thing that still bothers me (other than the fact that the premise makes absolutely no sense at all) is it's not even clear what will cause it to go up or down.  Perhaps I missed reading something, but I've heard people say that higher activity will drop it, lower activity will drop it... which is it?  Is it just activity, or are there details involved?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

From my understanding it has a focus on business and will see if their calls relate to furthering your business.  The more pertinent calls you make the better your score will be.

I would assume, and this is just me being me, that this is entirely designed to keep you poor.

This entire mentality is in keeping with the idea of debt and usury to begin with. Our economy is designed to keep people poor, that's why it's based upon debt. It's why people like me avoid loans whenever possible. I had to get a student loan, and even that I hated doing.

I'd prefer to live my life by paying for what I can afford, and nothing more. Saving what I can to buy some land, rent that land out to a farmer or a tree farmer, then some day build a house (preferably build it myself. the internet, as we all know, is GREAT for DIY), and retire to it because I don't have a mountain of debt following me around.

If that's true, I would expect them to increase everyone's credit limits.  What better way to keep people poor than to let them borrow even more money that they have to pay obscene interest on?  Sure, anyone with even a small amount of common sense would know better, but there are a lot of people who run up huge credit card bills they can't pay off in 1 month, and carry that balance forward, paying interest forever.  This would help trap them even better.

I would say hesitance regarding the 2008 crash, which was primarily caused when the bubble burst on selling debt that could never be paid off.

Which, was a direct result of the "affordable housing act" created by the congress under Clinton, and signed into law by Clinton, that allowed people to put down a significantly smaller down-payment on a mortgage than previously required (the statistic I've always heard quoted was 3% instead of 30%)
