Trade R9 fury for gtx 1060?

Should i make this trade so i can get Adobe CC and AutoCAD cuda performance from nvidia or not. I only play at 1080p, so both cards perform roughly the same at that resolution. 

Gtx 1060 is 6gb strix version

Probably. Although the Fury is a bit more powerful, the Nvidia features make up for it. Is the 1060 used or new?

R9 Fury is still the faster card. IDK about performance in workstation applications though.

At best you'd be breaking even, so I don't think so.

 

There should be very small difference in Adobe CC and Auto CAD between both cards, refer to this video.

I don't agree with your decision of doing that. the R9 Fury is a faster card. Don't let the so-called features sway you

since you can do them in less streamline fashion but it'll still work. (OBS work fine for streaming.)

They are not advantages.  AMD have their own thing, although, not as streamlined, for game streaming and programs.
G-sync is still very expensive to adopt.

altough i agree that the Fury is a better card, and i would not trade for a 1060 personally...

you should see Battlefield 1 running at 2560x1440 with Gsync on a 144hz IPS panel on an overclocked GTX 980ti on ULTRA setting...it's simply glorious.

There are 1440p FreeSync 144hz IPS monitors right know if i had a fury i would order one of these and keep it.

For those who don't have g-sync panel, Nvidia have the fast-sync technology. More info here.

Believe me, there are ppl like @App4that  who got a G-sync panel and swear to god by it. He will tell you how good it is once you invest in one.

buying new i would still recommend a GTX 1070 and a Gsync 1440p IPS panel tho.

But with a R9 Fury in hands, just get a nice monitor for it. it's plenty fast for 1440p

Well, the one downside to Freesync is that it has a range. Once it goes below or beyond it, the tech won't work. Nvidia, on the other hand, don't have this problem. So, it could be looked as a positive.

But, then again, the G-sync module have its own set of limitation since it controls the monitor colours. That remove some flexibility on the manufacturer end.

Colors are STUPID good over here captain and the gameplay is ridiculously smooth.

guys, i'm currently at 1080p haha and don't have need to upgrade. maybe i will in a year/two but only to a 1440p monitor. 4K requires beast GPU to run 60+ fps or SLI config, which I won't buy. so, for now, R9 Fury for GTX 1060 or should I find some1 that has 1070, but there is no one haha
