Dennis

Joelbanks5

So I was just reading another thread and someone said something about Dennis being gone. What happened?

Also so how to I keep up to date with all this kind of stuff?

You need a permit to work in Canada? Sucks for you guys, all I have to do is go to public and fill out some shit and I'm most likely in.

For foreigners that is. They had to prove why they hired Dennis and not any other (non-foreigner) Canadian.

I don't know if you can, don't know that much..

Anyways, the WAN show is the best way to stay up to date with what is happening at LMG, since they do say some stuff on Twitter and some info makes it onto this forum (via community members), but at the WAN show you hear the most info first hand.

Here on the forums, and stuff usually goes onto twitter as well, https://twitter.com/linustech. Best place though is the WAN show, they talk in depth about anything important there.

Not necessarily. I mean, really, Linus should have realized that any permit isn't indefinite. He should have dug a little deeper when hiring someone who's not even a Permanent Resident.

Anyway, LTT would have (and did) have to prove that by hiring Dennis they weren't outsourcing a position that could have been filled by a Canadian, looking for work in the same position.

In other words, Canada doesn't like jobs going to foreigners over Canadians.

I think that it prefers that its residents get priority when it comes to jobs.

Never said it was, personally I think all countries are useless, the only thing everyone needs is a police force and regulations to keep people safe.

There's issues with it. If a person isn't a resident, they're less likely to keep the money within the country. They're more likely to send it back home, as they really have no investment in the country in which they're employed. Get enough people doing it, and it has catastrophic effects on the economy.

To be a resident there must be a country, if there are no countries there are no residents therefore the problem of people sending money to a different country is no more. And different types of currency goes along with the countries.

A nice utopia but country-like structures are a natural development within humanity that dates back to the earliest tribal structures.

Recent threads suggested that Dennis is back?

Personally, he's not my favorite character. He's gotta be one hell of an editor or videographer or whatever he does because I can't see what else he contributes to the group. He seems to know little to nothing about computers or other sources of tech... He's obviously not an on screen personality... I just don't get it.

Dennis is Linus' Asian connection oversea's.

Dennis knows how to maximize the use of their (Asia's) populous "Youtube" and "Facebook" type programs over there.

Plus I am sure he does translations, and has connections for travel and industry.

Not utopian. It will probably happen, just not now. We were all one people once, we'll probably be one people again.

What's Dennis' nationality?

I like Dennis on the WAN show tonight.

I would like to extrapolate some more ponderings, and insert some random meanderings and state them as fact.

I know I am mostly right though.

If your like me and caught this chunk of the wan show. Ideas are brewing for how wicked that rig might end up looking.

If you don't know what I'm talking about click the YouTube video.

Okay now that we're all on the same page. Let's generate some parts list that would pull off this use case while still looking banging. Who knows maybe they might like the idea and see it become part of that build. So feel free to submit design ideas and we will see were this goes!

I think it's great they managed to sort out the issues, I have no doubt he's an integral member of the team. However, I don't think he's very good as a video host, I'd much prefer it if they used any Nick, Tarran or Colton as replacement host or stand in...
