CPU Cooler keeping my cpu too cool?

Hi guys,

 

Today i got my new Corsair h115i Cpu cooler to go on to my i7 6700k.

I normally run my cpu at 4.4 mhz overclock.

Is it going run cooler than the room temp and u know start leaking water in my pc?

There is no way it will run cooler than room temp.

There's no such thing as too cool a CPU until it stops working due to being so damn cold which isn't going to happen in a household. Your water cooler should also not be leaking under any circumstances.

water cooling solutions aren't air conditioning units, it can't "create" cold like a fridge or AC would do.

It's scientifically impossible for a normal CPU cooler to get the CPU colder than the temperature of the room.

You're going to be ok. I'm actually on a mission to find a cooling solution that makes my CPU "too cold". Let me know if h115i is the cooler i've been looking for! :)

Ok but, the guy said that installed the Cpu cooler i must watch out for my the temp to get too low and start forming water, or vapor? What do u guys think must i be worried becuase its currently cpu is running at 31c @4.5 overclock.

The guy is wrong and doesn't understand basic physics. That's not how condensation forms. The cooler will NEVER be colder than room temp and therefor never form condensation. The only types of coolers that can do this are phase-change/refrigerated coolers or evaporative coolers (LN2, LO2, etc). Water-loop cooled and air cooled systems can never get to a relative temperature that can cause condensation.

 

Just ignore him and enjoy your new setup.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

You can tell "that guy" that he shoudn't be giving advice about something he knows nothing about. He's so badly off that it's really making my head hurt.

 

No, you don't have to worry about the cooler. It absolutely cannot get your CPU temp below the ambient temp. There will not be any condensation issues. You also don't need to worry about the cooler leaking. It's extremely rare nowadays and if it does happen, Corsair will be helping you out.

 

Just ignore the guy and have fun.
