Best brand for 1TB HDDs?

Title says it all. Please factor in price as well. Feel free to give your opinions and suggestions as well as feedback from past experiences.

i have been using seagate for a long time, i dont know if it is the best out their. but after using it for a long time it has no problems. should cost something like 210 myr

WD Blue, compared to it's main competitor (seagate) WD has an edge in reliability as for price they vary but are around 50 bucks US.

all 3 brands are fine, but western digital would be the best imo.

Yea, I saw some WD Blues going for 210 MYR too. But based on Backblaze's results on their hard drives, Seagate seems to be going downhill after a couple of years. But then again, they run their HDDs 24/7 non-stop.

Western digital and hitachi have 5 times the reliability of Seagate for some reason, according to statistics.

 

However I do have a seagate 500GB drive for 4 years and no problems with that.

i have a seagate hdd in one of my system, a 8 year old system. it doesnt seem to go downhill , it decreases speed over the years because of viruses

Any of Toshiba, WD and Seagate are usually fine and if you want to go for the budget friendly just find the cheapest 1tb drives from any of them but if you want the best then pick up a 1tb WD black

WD is probably the best brand from what i have seen but my Toshiba one is going strong still(tho it has to be a pretty shitty HDD to fail after 2 years tbh) and its still pretty fast

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Which is why you shouldn't trust their information since they're using desktop class hard drives in servers that are running 24/7 which is something they aren't really designed to do.
