What was your first computer?

AMD Athlon II 5000+ which powers the first computer I did major work on. It was a prebuilt, but pretty OK, and with only a little maintenance, that computer still lives today, after like 8 years or so. Runnin' Vista!

Intel Pentium MMX and if I recall correctly it was 200 MHz.  Man it was such a beast at the time.

Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33GHz. I think we had a Pentium 4-based Compaq desktop before that, but I was like 5 when we had that computer. Now I have an i3-4130 in my personal rig.

I honestly done remember. It had windows 98 on it and I felt like a BAMF playing Wolfenstien 3D on it...

I believe that ran on socket 7, the only socket that ever existed which supported both Intel and AMD CPUs. Another thing was all CPU, RAM, FSB has to be set manually via jumpers or dip switches, and if there are any conflicts between certain devices, you set IRQs or manually select a free resource address. Unlike today where everything is automatic, back in those days, you really have to dive in and get some basic knowledge to be able to fix a problem yourself.

The one I built is the one I am still using. Plays every game maxed out and I am very happy with it. The details are in my description. To much to rewrite for a person to be able to just look down.

Me and my dad built a P3 rig in 1999 when he worked at intel. It was like building a Broadwell system now. Simply put, I was 2 years old, and I didn't really build it as much as I did drop hard drives onto the carpet and laugh. 

The first pc I actually built with my bare hands was a system I got from, literally, garage sale picked parts.

2x80GB IDE Drives

Win XP Professional

Stupid dreadful shitty awful Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE. Tried to replace with an 8400 GS but lols like I had money at 12 years old.
