Man, this launch is more of a flop than Windows 10. And that's no easy feat.

i like 10 definitely better than 8

it could be the guy lying to dodge lawsuits because he is not allowed to bring an old note 7

But he had a "safe" box and the phone caught on fire when it was powering down, not being charged.

Like it says in the article any lithium battery would catch fire in that situation. The experiment just shows that lithium batteries are volatile which we've known for years. That doesn't help at all in fixing the problem.

There's a problem with this: how many iPhone 7/7 Plus units have caught fire?  There's that one incident you link to, and...

The Note 7's problem: battery fires were not only much more prevalent, but were endemic to the choice of battery.  And while this flight fire may have been a one-off incident, the worry is that it's reflective of an inherent Note 7 design flaw.  At best, the Note 7 had a rough start; at worst, its problems run so deep that it tarnishes the whole Samsung brand.  Apple can rest easily in comparison.
