I already buy it.. and now i need to know if its enought hehe

vicluber

Hi all, I'm new.

I just purchase online for this:

Motherboard: MSI H110l Pro

Processor: Intel Core i3 6100

Ram: G.SKILL ddr4 2133 8Gb x 2

Silverstone SFX ST30SF 300W Small Form Factor 80 PLUS

I think that the power supply is nought for this configuration, right? But I want to add a GTX 1060 Mini later. OuterVision Power Supply Calculator says that I'm gonna need 288W, and that's pretty close.

Should I contact the seller to change the power supply? Thanks.

People.

PSU calculators are garbage.

Aside from the fact that an i3 is a colossal bottleneck to any current 10-series GPU, your system will never even see 200W under overclocked load. You're fine.

You might have to use a double molex to single 6-pin adapter if the PSU doesn't have a PCI-E 6-pin connector. But it will be fine, probably.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

Colossal bottleneck? Just a slight one.

Would you pair a GTX 980 with an i3? I wouldn't, and I recommend i3s more than your average bear. I used one for a year or so and it was great but it wasn't a great pairing with a 290 I used briefly.

I wouldn't most of the time. But i3 + 1060/480 (especially the ones with low VRAM since they have the best perf/price) is a better combo than i5 + whatever you can get for $80 less ($150 instead of $230)

Dammit AyyyyMD, Y U NO sell RX 470 at $150?

TBH the RX470 should have been 150 from the get-go...

Honestly though, as one who used an i3 for quite a long time and would recommend to more people than you might think, for most games it's going to be the first bottleneck.
