that and the "heating a pizza with your pc" are imo the two worst ltt vids ever.

 

I'd also like to point out his build suggestions, the guy goes nuts over HDD and SSD space, especially in a budget build. blows waaay too much money on store and then skimps on the case or gpu...

I'm too poor to pay for shipping. Plus, part of the PCB is sorta melted around a chip and it's just an 8800GTX

No. That's exactly when it WOUDLN'T work even temporarily. Baking only sort of works (sometimes) when the gpu is the problem.

if a chip blew up then baking it most certainly would not help.

Bear in mind that baking it also irreversibly destroys the oven. You can't bake anything in it anymore unless you like poisonous metals in your food. Post a pic, maybe we can try to diagnose it.

The part in question that set on fire was similar to the one next to the chip at the bottom right (rectangular brown thing).

Intentionally leaving a brand new Dell laptop in the rain. The fact they later sent him one of their rugged, Linus-proof models should reflect their opinion. Then there's the whole thing with Whonnuck (however it's spelled) and neglecting to back that up before the server went kaput. 

 

Of course, any lack of failures would make a channel boring after awhile as well. At this point, Linus could probably have a legitimate, decent length Fail Montage made.

Can you please give me a convincing case on why I should go with 3333 MHz RAM? Otherwise I am unconvinced that faster RAM will give you stellar performance gains compared to 2133 MHz or 2400 MHz RAM.

 

And no, I don't mean 3 or 4 more FPS in games. It has to be 10+ with the games I play.

 

I don't mean to be rude, but I do put on my serious face with topics like faster RAM for example.
