My PC school is a shit because it has the worst stuffs on the entire planet. Note: It has around 20 PC in 1 room

 

It has:

 

Intel Pentium E2160

A shit ASUS motherboard ( I don't know whats the name )

1GB RAM

320gb HDD

NO GPU

Shit Unbranded Power Supply ( 200-300w? )

No Name Case

Fake Windows 7 

1024 x 768 Monitor

Genius Keyboard & Mouse ( I don't know what series )

Fast internet for google but shit internet for download.

 

I want to complain to my principal school about this

Do you guys have any idea for the PC specs for school?

Lol our school PCs are good in comparison to this :D

 

We have:

- Core2 Duo E8400

- Don't know what MB

- 2 or 3GB of DDR2

- 320GB HDD

- 1280x1024 Monitors

- Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit

(I hate that personally, not only that it's 32bit, but it's also Windows 8.1!!)

Main PC: R7 3700X / Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi / Radeon RX 5700 XT / 32GB DDR4-3200 / 250GB & 2TB Crucial MX500 (in HP Prodesk 400 Case)

Laptop: R5 2500U / Radeon Vega 8 / 8GB DDR4-2400 / 500GB SK Hynix BC501 (HP Envy x360 13)

My little Server: i7-7700 / Asrock H110M-ITX / 24GB DDR4-2400 / Samsung 860 Pro 250GB & Seagate Firecuda 2TB / VMware ESXi 6.7

(Don't tell me i should Name them, i don't want to ^^)

Wow, entitled much? What kind of classes are you taking where you need better specs than that? And why does the case, motherboard, PSU, or anything else matter while you're using it for school?

 

Here's a good life lesson for you: If somebody lets you use something FOR FREE don't complain about it EVER unless you want to look like an entitled brat to the adults in the room.

 

Seriously, take a minute and think about what you've been given and don't complain about something you didn't have to pay for.

Granted OP is able to use it for free and shouldn't complain because there are much worse school computers... but you think they'd be able to spring for at least 2gb of RAM in each system. 1gb barely—if at all covers even the overhead of the OS.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Nothing in that article says that they'd fine a school for using a pirated/unactivated version.  Anyway, it's most likely that it's just screwed up enterprise/education licensing, not a pirated version.

You are not alone brother, same here (excluding the fake stuff - i don't know where your school got that from o.O )

I'm pretty sure your school doesn't want any upgrade that costs a butt load of money (because there are 20 PCs.) 

Firstly, you can suggest them to increase the RAM. I think that's the LGA 775 socket with DDR2 RAM. So get some RAM. It won't be that of a cost. 20 DDR2 2GB stickswould cost about 70$, and if its in bulk, you can also get the price reduced.

As for the processor, I am not that familiar with the 775 socket so all I can say is find some decent processor that fits you bill and is better than your 2160 and use that.

 

Now all this is worst case scenario. If the school is willing to get brand new computers, either get assembled ones which is easier. or you can setup this one .

If you added an RX 460 it'd be a decent gaming machine. Temped to get some from school when they start replacing them, retrofitting them and selling them on eBay :P

I left high school around 2008, we had these all in one units that were sub-par to say the least. From memory:

 

Processor: Pentium 4 ~2.4Ghz

RAM: 512mb DDR

Graphics: Intergrated

Storage: 25mb original quota, could be expanded if you knew the right technician. 

 

Of course all the keyboard feet had been broken, for some reason the students were obsessed with doing this. Mice were more than often ball mice solder ironed shut to prevent tampering >:(.

 

One of the Graphic Design computers was a 486. No joke.
