Gah the Iphone 7 Jet Black is gonna be such a rarity, if i dont pick up pace, i will never get one (replacing current damaged phone takes time .-.). Even its retail box is "Jet Black". All remainders, even the Black version, are regular white. People in the stores are gonna see a Jet Black box and drool all over it before i can touch it...

Is Jet Black really being delayed until November worldwide? T-Mobile just said the Iphone 7/7 Plus are theyr best selling smartphone ever, having been bought 4 times more than the 6.

Yeah, it's pushed back.  The Jet Black process takes considerably more time per unit than the typical aluminum finish, so Apple can't produce as many as it would like.  As it stands: if you like your phone looking pristine, you're better off with one of the other colors.

Yeah but, i really wanted Jet Black :/. Obviously ill need a full cover case and to remove it from it, will require gloves. It would be like treating a gold phone i suppose...

Funny thing is that store says it should be available September 16th, which is quite weird. Maybe its sold out in the US but not globally?

I do not like it's battery capacity.

Taptic engine is useless IMHO. They could have slaped in much bigger battery in it's place. See this pic?

Taptic engine has exactly the same width as the battery.

iphone 7 plus

It looks like it's 1/9 -th of the battery. So iphone 7's 1960 mah and 7 plus's 2900 mah battery could easily have been 2177 mah and 3222 mah respectively.

Computer users fall into two groups:
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.

I'd choose the Taptic engine anytime over a normal vibration motor. More energy efficient (in my theory) and better usage customisation. Dont think a normal vibration motor can produce the same distinct knocking effect as the Taptic Engine that suits nicely with the 3D Touch

I will agree for a bit that bigger battery is always better but battery life is never really a real issue with iphone for the majority users.

I'd rather have the taptic engine for 3D touch over slightly better battery life anyday.

As an iPhone 7 owner, I'd agree that the Taptic Engine is worth the tradeoff.

It's not so much the home button (although it's fun to realize you can customize the feel of a home button) as the haptics throughout the interface.  The little taps when you bring up Control Center, scroll through a list or similar actions... they add a distinct feel to the OS that's strangely appealing.  It's less intrusive and more practical than the buzzes you get with ordinary haptics.

There are lots of reports of iPhone 7/7+'s making a very noticeable hissing sound when at high loads and a not so noticeable one when at 'low-ish' loads, have you noticed anything with your device yet?

Someone mentioned that the non-physical home button might pave way for the next iPhone to have no home button at all and have it integrated with the screen.

Reports are saying that the non-button home button is near identical and maybe even better in feel so I'm excited for what's to come.

Once you live with taptic feedback you don't want to use any other phone with a regular motor. It can't be explained in a spec sheet but its a worth trade off.

Seems reasonable

You spend so much on pair of wireless earbuds only to tie them together with a cord?

Kinda defeats the whole point, don't you think?

They are still wireless, there is no wire between the headphones and the phone....so no, it doesnt defeat the point, just makes you sound salty

This "cable" just turns them into jaybird style wireless headphones - for people who want that sort of thing, its not like Apple are selling it, its a 3rd part accessory for people who want that sort of thing

The purpose is to remove the cord between the earphones and phone, not necessarily all cords.

$160 is a lot for normal bluetooth earbuds, but it's very well priced for truly wireless earbuds. So, it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay for the completely  wireless premium and then not use them completely wirelessly.

I don't have an issue with the product existing either -- it's good for people who may change their mind about what exactly they want. It gives people options and no one is forced to buy it. With that said, it doesn't make the most sense to pay the wireless premium and then buy this.

of course it does, for somebody who likes earpods, and wants to use them wirelessly, but wants them tethered together, you still get the easy paring W1 chip, the cool little charging case etc

meh, there are better options than earbuds in terms of both sound and comfort and I'd say the ease of pairing is vastly outweighed by the annoyance of having to remove the strap every time you want to charge them.

Sure but for some people the strap will be invaluable, it might be like 100 people in the world that buy it, i dunno why anybody really cares

for the target audience the price isnt really a consideration so thats sort of irrelevant, as I always say, price:performance is irrelevant to many

Under a certain threshold. And the threshold moves up with inflation. Back in 2006 I bought the QC 15 for $300 and this was crazy expensive at the time. These days, that kind of price is not really crazy tho it is still a luxury. Prices in tech are supposed to come down, and they sorta do, but also consumer expectations are tempered with inflation over time. Look at Beats... they make high prices look like the new normal.
