Yep, RDR might be getting a PS4, XB1 & PC release!

Take this rumor with a huge spoonful of salt and hope for the best. Korean website Game Focus is reporting that Rockstar has plans to reveal a remaster for Red Dead Dedemption tomorrow, Sept. 7, for the PlayStation 4 and PC, finally bringing the western classic up to speed on modern hardware.

 

As for the Xbox One version, the report suggests that it will be skipping out on South Korea, but Game Focus doesn’t rule out the build being released around the rest of the world. The site claims its sources would only confirm the PlayStation 4 and PC builds of the remaster.

 

Of course, Red Dead Redemption also recently found its way onto the Xbox One’s backward compatible list, but it wouldn’t be wise to let that rule out a full-fledged remaster..

 

If true, the sources say this will be the first time Koreans will get to play with a fully translated script, which did not happen the previous time around.

 

Again, this is a huge rumor, but the good news is we only have a day to suffer over it and see if it’s true. Gamers have waited a long time to update the classic into their modern library, and Rockstar doesn’t have anything officially announced in development at the moment.

Please be true, I played though it once when it was new but I'd buy it instantly if it does get a PC release. Rockstar, don't fuck with our dreams again pls, now where's RDR2?

Same here. I'm not gonna get crazy though, I still won't preorder it but seeing how great GTA V was I'm not worried about a bad port. 

 

My only worry is they pull the same stunt and postpone the PC release till months after the consoles.

Took them long enough... and before you know it, the remaster will get littered with micro-transactions, and aggressively implemented anti-mod DRM.

Nope, Revolver was a failed and rejected Capcom game that Rockstar bought almost finished, finished it off then released it. 

 

It shares nothing with Redemption other than being an inspiration for it and is certainly not its prequel. 

 

Revolver was an awesome game though.

It never came out on PC and never had a chance to play it on my PS3 (it broke) so I am very happy for this remaster.
