Edge or No Edge?

Based on my super edgy title, I would like to know your guys' opinion on whether or not to get the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 Edge. Now, from what I have seen, I know that the battery life is better on the edge and the screen is bigger, but the S7 is $100 cheaper and has a more comfortable size  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . The other thing about the standard S7 that I would assume would be compatibility with cases, covers, and screen protectors. Thoughts?

honestly, i think edge is a unique design , everybody else for the past few years had the bar type phone, the regular one follows the traditional ergonomic & looks, edge kinda looks special to me in this case, but thats just me, it's your choice finally

Details separate people.

I totally agree. Its like being on the cutting edge. *terrible pun intended* I think I might go for the edge...

I'd say, go for the normal S7. It's a great phone with a good battery. If it doesn't provide you enough juice, just buy a powerbank for $20 and extend your batterylife that way.

as for the cases and screenprotectors; Nowadays with the corning gorillaglass you don't need a screenprotector, except if you know you have a lot of sand in your pocket (?). Same goes for the metal back. It doesn't scratch as easy as you would think.

The edge functions are fun and all. But who the f*** puts their phone on it's glass side on a table? You don't need the edge on your screen, and thus that wouldn't give me enough reasons to spend another $100 on a super expensive cellphone already.

Another good point. But did you see my fantastic pun?

If you have a lot of money to blow, go for the edge, obviously. But I'm a poor college student, so for me it wouldn't be smart, since i don't need the extra battery/edge screen. You might be in a whole different situation though.

Still talking about the pun, but I think all in all it will be a better decision to go for the standard edition for durability.

Personally I dont see the gimmick of the edge, but what ever floats your boat.

I'd just get the normal S7. The curved screen on the edge is a gimmick IMO.

I hear a lot about it being a 'gimmick'. However, it is new and the standard style has been around for so long and it may be interesting and refreshing to get something strange and unexperienced by most.

Then you should buy a traditional 12-buttons cellphone from 2005. Refreshing.

Now since that note 7 is a thing, why not buy that? If you are a stylus person....

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
