It's... fine as far as I can tell but I'd spend the extra for a well-renowned unit (the CX450)

Group regulated, no OTP, no UVP, no OPP... Yeah, avoid that. The only good Hexa units are the HEXA 85+ series (Not the 85+ II)

Tbh, I have money, I'm saving up since I went to high school and now I'm an university student. I just don't to spend "too" much on the PSU because I still have to buy a new monitor and other things. That's it, but if I have to spend more, then I'll.

Exactly. A CXM > CX and the budget Golds (Focus Gold, G+, GQ, G Series etc.) don't seem to be available at reasonable prcies

The CX is better internally than a CXm (Half Bridge instead of Double Forward, Rifle Bearing Fan instead of Sleeve Bearing)

Spend a bit more and get the Seasonic Focus+ Gold. It's one of the best-regarded budget Gold units and will last you a lot longer and be much better than something in the CX class

It's still a fine PSU and I'd go for the modularity but if he has the money for a Focus+ Gold-grade unit that's obviously worth it
