I mean, it's a G1+/GQ/GD except it doesn't fail transient testing as bad as the G1+... It's also MUCH better value in EU...

G1+ fails both 3.3V and 5V transient, Pure Power 10 only fails 3.3V and it doesn't do quite as badly.

Oh, I was under the impression it didn't fail any of them. Either way it's not like your rig's going to 'splode if it's running a G1+, still a good unit

Of course it's still ok, I'm just highlighting that the Pure Power 10 is actually a decent unit even when compared with budget gold options from EVGA :)

Yeah I'm not saying it's bad, jut a bad value when the GQ exists (also the TXM and the Focus Gold, but the point stands)

I'd honestly take it over a GQ (Both have fine fans, the BQ has multi-rail OCP though...)

At $10 cheaper it's fine I guess... I prefer the BQ for it's lower noise output and better transient response...

@STRMfrmXMN Where would the Seasonic Focus+ Platinum be? I assume T2 but you never know. $84.99 for a 650W modular Platinum right now, might jump on that

That's how it is.

As Plus there is a good quality fan and rather low fan RPM around 500rpm idle (for the lower wattage models).

And a rather low price.

Pure Power 10 is comparable to Corsair CX/CM Master Watt than the gold versions. An depending on where you live, the Pure Power 10 can has a rather good price as well.

So, what's a good price for a Tier1/Tier2 600w-ish PSU in EU nowadays?

Is there a dramatic difference between Tier1 and Tier2?

It depends on exactly what PSU. Let's take the Seasonic Focus+ Gold and the EVGA G2. In France the Focus+ 650 Gold (A T2 unit, though I can't tell why @STRMfrmXMN, performs like the G2 and quieter too) is 100e and the G2 650W is 107e but in the Netherlands and Germany the G2 isn't available at all. Generally 80-100e for a 650w Gold T1/2 unit seems like a fair price

I believe it was because it performed more similarly to a GQ than a G2.

I believe it was because it performed more similarly to a GQ than a G2.

The EVGA G2 650W got an average of .67% regulation in JG's hotbox and the Focus+ Gold 750W got .33%. .33% >>> .67%, no?, The GQ did 1%

I haven't checked, it's just from the disscussion I remembered.

I think it was because of transistent response and potentially cold solder points?

@STRMfrmXMN care to elaborate?

Generally 80-100e for a 650w Gold T1/2 unit seems like a fair price

It seems more on the 100 side.

At the moment on Amazon i see a Cooler Master V650 and a Corsair TX750M for around 100 euros.

The focus+ is about the same and the G2 is 10 euros more.

So, what's a good price for a Tier1/Tier2 600w-ish PSU in EU nowadays?

Is there a dramatic difference between Tier1 and Tier2?

1) you don't need no 600W

2) if you do need, you wouldn't ask for the Price!

For a non overclocked Standard Desktop System with AM4 or LGA115x and a mid to higher end graphics card a 400W is more than plenty. And good ones start at ~60€.

For example Bitfenix Formula.

To be on the safe side, you might want to go with 550W.

But even 550W is enough for a Ryzen 7/1700x on ASUS X370-F Strix and -TWO- Radeon HD7970GHz/280X (1100MHz Core, 1500MHz Memory)...

And an i7-3930K with an RX480 OC (Power Color Red Devil) measures about 350W Primary.

What is the spec? Why 600W?
If you have a working System, get a Powermeter. Brennstuhl BM231 should be available at any Obi for around 10€.
