Nvidia GTX 10 Series, Who is it for?

Yeah, looks like it'll be my only option really is to go for Burger King, McDonald's, or Subway. I think for me though, I think Subway would keep a bit of my dignity or whatever in tack. I don't know why but I feel like if I do take the cliché job that teenagers have of being at a fast food restaurant I've lost a part of myself or something idk.

Because yeah, I was hoping to either be a cashier at Target, Walmart or Cub Foods. I kinda gimped my Target application by putting in not many hours of being available during the weekday. I mean I even applied for Starbucks.

i can never work at mcdonalds or burger king, i always daydream and in a place where you need to hustle thats not exactly a good habit to have, plus im not exactly a people person. im much better off sitting in a warehouse building servers/workstations and troubleshooting them by myself or with a small team. if your an extrovert and people person then id say just go for the food service entry level jobs but expect to be treated like crap there by the customers. because in food service you have to deal with people especially difficult, picky, and sometimes incompetent people and that is to me kind of a pain in the ass. but you are doing this as a temporary job to get the money so it doesn't really matter much. you get money and work experience so then next time you can maybe work at a best buys or frys or some retail computer store. i only got into supermicro because i had connections.

In that situation, i think buying a mid range GPU and selling it and then upgrading is a better strategy than buying a high end card and waiting 2 years+

Hell, even buying high end card and selling it for the new top of the line card isn't a giant expense.  You only lose $200-300 every 6-12 months.  That's barely any money per month if you're anywhere near decent at saving a tiny bit of money.

This times a million^

I was close myself to doing just that and getting a 1080 but all this Titan P business has me spooked. Plus the HOF won't hit until October, and after seeing the HOF everything else would be a compromise. So in October if there is no Titan P news I'll probably revisit selling the Hybrid. Already have a buyer so that's not a concern.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

if your an extrovert.

Topkek I'm an INFP so yeah... I'm an introvert too. I can handle dealing with people but really if it's only for something I likely share an interest in. I think I'd have a more pleasant time working at Target, Walmart or Cub Foods as I'd either be a cashier, or on the floor helping customers which sounds a lot better than being in closer quarters and having angry customers.

Huh... Well yeah like I said, I feel like working fast food seems demeaning. Though it might be a last ditch effort for me to get a job so I can fund that money for a PC and maybe a class/school trip to France.

I have some volunteering experience, but it's only about a week out of the summer that I've been doing now for about 5 or so years now, but I've been in the organization for like 7 years this year. Which in applications that have volunteer experience fields or whatever, I do put that in there.

I wouldn't mind working at Best Buy, that would be actually ideal. Honestly but I haven't seemed to find openings for what I'm quite looking for or could possibly qualify for.

For someone who builds a rig and wants it to last about 4 years without thinking about upgrades anytime soon.

For someone who wants to game at 1440p with consistent 120fps+ performance.

For someone who just likes high scores in benchmarks.

For someone who´s life evolves around PCs and tech, I don't even own a car. All my money goes to tech. (dont need a car where I live in Denmark)

For someone who likes to brag on forums and doesn't get laid.

For someone who has lots of equal minded nerdy friends to fuel his enthusiasm for tech.

For someone who just has the money and doesn't know what to do with it.

For someone who likes to look at his rig and dream about VR being his girlfriend.

All of the above applies to me, I dare you to mock me !!!!!!!

For that 4 years build part, you could do it with any high-end cards you could find in the market this past 2 years. And what is in Denmark that you don't need a car

I live right next to my work and everything I need is just around the corner. Besides, in Denmark bikes are just so much easier and have priority over cars in traffic.

I got two 980 Tis for the same price as one 1080 instead.

970s already getting sluggish for the latest high end games at 1440p 144 hz, and I also didn't buy Witcher 3 yet because of that. I can buy it now if it goes on reduction again, hopefully in the summer or Christmas sales.

Linus is my fetish.

That's the thing, I don't need 1440p nor a 144hz monitor. And I don't really care making my game to All Ultra at 120 fps, for me High quality at 120 fps is still good. Just as long as it's above 60 fps at higher than medium I'm happy.
