Just picked up a pci gpu to pair with my ide HDD for going a bit further with the PCIe clock (currently crashes at ~112 MHz), given my ~60°C at 4.6 I should have a bit more headroom

Got 758, were stable for a while (All I did was change my Blk to 125mhz, etc via bios)

Notes :
No hardware changes were made between OS switches (simple OC profile change)
Windows 98 SE and WIndows 2000 can be directly compared.
Windows 7 x64 SP1 with Windows Server 2016 share the same settings for CPU/RAM, but use different GPUs (blame M$/NVIDIA).
Windows XP... simply put : Best Windows XP with official support (drivers for stuff) 
Intel reference cooling for Core i7 980X was used.

i5 8600k @ 5Ghz at 1.3v being cooled by a Cryorig H7, very impressed with this cooler. Even more impressed with the 8600k though

I have CPU Z, was just using HWMonitor at the time. I had an Ivy Bridge i5 3340s. Wasn't very fast to say the least.

You need to also include CPU-Z opened in your screenshot so Jumper can add your score to the list.

 

May I ask what's your max temp on that CPU during aida64 cpu+fpu+cache stress test?

I ordered it 8600k for myself, and I just hope Dark Rock 3 will be able to keep it under 85°C at all times when overclocked to 5GHz.

Ah, my mistake. I have it back down to 4.8GHz at the minute as my GPU bottlenecks me anyway. Will put it back up to 5GHz a bit later when I get the chance and will get back to you.

Just ran Aida 64 for about 5 minutes at 5GHz, not much I know but I'm kind of strapped for time, and the max temp I saw was 84c on one core, with the package bouncing around the high 70's and the low 80's. Set the voltage at 1.31v and it dropped to 1.28v during the test. I honestly think I could go for higher than 5GHz on this cooler. Cinebench probably wouldn't run due to that alreay hitting 86c on 5GHz, but for gaming I think this cooler could just about manage 5.1Ghz.

 

EDIT: So I'm not spamming this place by replying again, I'll post my 5.1GHz Cinebench score here. Temps went a little over 90c and I definitely wouldn't use this daily on this cooler.

You need cpu open in the screenshot from it to be valid for the spreadsheet :). OK. That's a decent jump in performance

I do hope my chip will also be able to handle 5GHz without any problems. 

And as long as temps stay under 85-90°C during aida64/prime95/cinebench test it should be fine since in real usage it won't go over 80°C. That temp is still within safe limits as far as I know.

 

And don't forget on AVX offset. I will probbably use 5GHz with -5 AVX offset to lower temps a bit.

I think almost every 8600k can manage 5GHz easily. This is my first time overclocking a CPU and I just put in a voltage of 1.3, put the multiplier at 50, set the LL AC an DC to 0.1, put LLC at 5 and set SVID to best case scenario and it booted and ran completely stable. It's only using a little over 1.3v at 5.1GHz, so I could probably go even higher with a better cooler. 

Also, my temps in gaming are around 65-70c. But then I am GPU limited so that may be higher for you since you have a better GPU.

I agree ... most chips should be able to handle 5GHz, but I'm just unlucky when it comes to CPUs.

Will see tomorrow ... just got notification that I can pick up my order tomorrow. Can't wait to test it!
