I quite like AISuite 3 on my Z97 board :)

Gigabytes EasyTune software on AMD makes me want to punch kittens though :(

When I had my 10 fans and pump loaded with AI Suite it ran through its fan identifying phase and promptly cut my pump RPM in half and refused to acknowledge the existence of 4/10 fans, throwing the rest into a weird mix of PWM and DC mode, even though they're all PWM. Tried running the identifier again, tried swapping over settings, tried manually entering everything and it was virtually bricked. Just uninstalled it and did everything through Q-Fan. AI Suite works great if you're plugging direct PWM's into all your headers, but I had more fans than headers

and best of luck getting 2400mhz on the memories

2133 is more common on this platform

i dont like aisuite overhead either, but its really the only option to tweak and tune via the OS.

I dislike having to restart every time I want to click up the bclk a couple notches or adjust vcore. i prefer to do it on the fly

The XPG kit is listed as 2400 XMP on the QVL, one of only 3-4 kits, which would explain my troubles. They have some very odd speeds and a ton of listings that have been discontinued (2500 G.Skill?!)

On the fly always makes me nervous, I key in values and there have been a great many times where 1.05 turned into 1.5, the BIOS listing prompt always saves me if I missed it the first time. My fingers can't be trusted.

its chilled water cooling. in the same way putting a pot of ln2 in front of your air cooler is air cooling.

Shame... could boot @2,8 GHz... but there's a second friend destroying stability... supah voltage fluctuation... found it now when I switched back to stockBad caps D:?

What am i looking at?

/jk

Maybe, since the board is probably ancient?

Yeah....considering my  E8500 had the voltage drop to under 1.2V under load on my P5K (not the earliest LGA775 motherboard, but far from the newest), which caused the usual stability problems (except BSOD, which was odd).

Bad caps D:?

look to see if any caps are bulging \ leaking. it is possible, given that board isnt very young any more and caps are susceptible to fail with age. you got a capacitance tester?//

if your caps look fine, im sorry friend but you gonna have to do the potato mod to get more powaaaaa!

@Jumper118

nice xtu score you fetched a few of dem points :) if you have more ddr3's kicken around try to increase your memory density even if  it means sacrificing speed\timings. it has helped me scale a fair amount using 16gb vs 8 gb

and I dont think my device is water cooler. there is no water or radiators :\

Don't criticize my pro room lighting :(

1. How well is that cooler going because my one of them is useless

2. Those caps look like they had something scrapped across the top accidentally, they are fine.

those caps look ok

. the tops look good but its hard to say   if i see evidence of oxidization on the tops

the ones you really need to examine are the ones above

6.3V 3300uf

those are the ones i replaced on the msi sli platnum, they were my problem

if caps physically  look good the only way to test is with a meter that measure capacitance (i dont own one)

Potentially X5460 soon as my 5450 wont go no further on this board... got a feeling the NB can't handle the 2000+ fsb on quads so need a higher multi :)

do the extreme quads have unlocked multi's?

It would be silly if they didn't.
