Deltas or watercool.

Or purchase one of the first, BeanCan® pots made by @ProKoN

Rad=Radiator=Watercooling. I just tried the Intel Burn test, and with the fan (fricken loud piece of cooler master shit-it moves a lot of air though) at 100%, it passed 85oC instantly and caused a BSOD.

Your CPU? :o

My E3300 @1.7V topped at 64c in IBT. That 1MB cache probably helps keep it cool.

Nice. Plenty of ventilation is needed though. Stay safe and destroy clocks. 01bfc2e20e59c79d17674a4fadbda8d6.png

My computers are retarded, I even spent another $30 on arctic silver and took my time putting everything together (I have some semblance of cable management) and generally giving it the full royal treatment and I still have thermal issues. Though at least the Seidon is now outperforming the Winner S915 cooler (not by much though).

wow. that doesn't sound fun.

Maybe if I get my P5K up and running, I'm going to try and set it on fire with my P4 630 if possible. (Already had a few close calls with the Xeon X5450).

1.4125V is the setting in the bios, though being a true overclocking motherboard and not just a toy-I honestly have no clue as to what I should tweak, and how I should tweak it. If only it was as simple as my Mum's old laptop (I'm still surprised that it could keep an early P4 below 60oC when it was at 3.9GHz-near silent btw, only a very slight amount of fan noise).

Yep, unstable as hell at 4.42GHz-just watching a video on Youtube and the Nortbridge overheated. I think its time for the little NB active ice cooler to see some proper use (its on my Geforce 256).

I've got to enter the bios, but for a start I've only touched the CPU voltage, DRAM voltage, RAM speed and FSB speed with everything else at auto (with load line calibration enabled).

This CPU is garbage, IHS has got some problems (re-applied thermal paste 3x), and the voltages are too high for the speed.
I could lap it, but the voltages suck so I'm just getting another one and reselling. :)

F batch.. Never again :D.

I got a decent deal on it, so I'll be able to get pretty much all of it back. I don't think you want it, it's easily the worst x5670 I've seen around. :D

A decent x5670 should be able to hit 4.4 at those volts. Small FFTs in prime hit 85+, which is worse than my w3520 at 4.4 and that needs 1.4v. Of course if the IHS was flat it'd probably be in the low 70's.

ok that is great. i'll have a proper look for you tomorrow and see what i can come up with. i got a bit carried away binning these E5200's :(

got 4 binned tonight. i'll probably do a thread somewhere with all the results once i've binned em all. it quite quick once i get into the rhythm, but deciding what setting to use to bin them was tricky, but i think its fairly good now :)

So the new BeanCan® is the EE heastink with a pot on it? You really could pull this off if you want to sell LN2 pots.

Thanks, I'm just going to run everything at stock for now-tweaking everything related to the NB was a bit of a fail.
