Hello, this has been an issue for a while, and has persisted between many pc upgrades and component changes.  Every few minutes, to every hour or so, my device manager will auto refresh by itself.  when this happens, in some games like Elden Ring, it will cause a full stutter for a brief moment, and in Final Fantasy 14, it causes a controller disconnect.

Have Tried:

Running /scannow

BIOS Update

Clean Boot

Plug in each device one at a time

Due to the nature of the issue, it is really hard to tell which device is causing the issue.  I have unplugged every device, and plugged in each time and waiting.  Mouse was first, and was fine.  hour later i did the keyboard and was fine, hour later i did mic and was fine, then i was out of the house for a few hours, came back and still no auto refresh.  i plugged in the dongle for my Hyperx Cloud 2 Wireless, and after an hour or so it gave me an auto refresh.  As of typing this, i have plugged in everything except for the dongle for the headset, and within half an hour it still has not auto refreshed, but due to the nature it is hard to tell if this was a fluke or not.

Is there any software that will allow me to watch changes in device manager when an auto refresh happens?  i thought Event Viewer would give me something along those lines, but it does not log when something like that happens.  (thanks microsoft for making troubleshooting harder for no reason)

The refresh is triggered by a usb device disconnecting and reconnecting.  When it happens does your network drop? If it does, it is most likely your wifi adapter.  Otherwise it is most likely one of the other usb device..

I have tried with doing the usb devices all one at a time, and it i just couldnt actually isolate an issue.  I thought it was gonna be my headset dongle, but when i opened discord, it device manager auto refreshed.  In terms of the network, my connection stays fine.  i have wifi turned off and have been using a wired connection.  only wireless aspect is the bluetooth, however this same issue happened on my old motherboard as well, where i did not have any wireless options at all with the board.  its gotten to the point where i have tried everything aside from just reinstalling windows, but after some research, i have seen that even that will not solve it.

So Update, having the headset unplugged, it still managed to auto refresh, so now i have straight no idea what device is causing this to happen.  i attempted uninstalling all audio drivers and restarting, still same issue as well.
