I got it for 25$, idk what one it is though, anyone know? its an IBM

Yeah, i saw that, and I looked at all the IBM computers i could find from around then, and none of them looked exactly correct.

Thats a 1981 IBM PC 5150 if im not mistaken. As far as I can tell its a model 1

5150 looks different

what are you planning to do with this instead of the new mouse pad/ case fans/ bubble teas with gf/ earphones that you could buy with $25?

Looks like a 5170 clone. Does it say IBM on the PC itself? The screen is IBM but that says nothing about the box. Maybe open her up?

There is a square where it looks like the IBM badge would be.

This right here, I'm almost for certain the monitor is a IBM model, but the computer itself is another brand.  The computer should have a model number on it.

Looks a lot like this :

So, a clone...

 

I'd open her up, won't bite, you'll have to check up on the CMOS battery anyway. If it's not leaking yet you can still remove/replace it before it leaks and ruins the board.

Ill probably just give it away for free on craigslist. I turned it on once, made a loud pop, so i unplugged it. I turned it on again, it whent through post, then a blank screen.

Ill sell the IBM monitor, give away the computer (Cant be worth much anyway right?)

I would think only the IBM stuff is worth something. That monitor is worth about 100$.

Ill just give the computer away because its quite heavy, and kinda broken. Something inside it is loose too, and moves around. I could open it, but i keep remebering thoes pictures and gifs of like 1000 spiders coming out of the pc, or a dead frog.
