Fewer children owning mobile phones

ETRJ

Ehm....

It could be a test that has misinformation and the drop in kids with smartphones could be false.

Also your personal experiences might not matter and this test might be (partially) true.

Too many factors to handle.

Why do you worry about this anyway. :P It's not your own kid is it now?

What kind of irresponsible parent gets a kid that's under 16 an expensive smartphone? I didn't have a phone till I got a job and bought my own.

As much as we don't like it, the amount of technology youngsters receive will always increase. I still don't see the point of tablets though.

I'm 15 and have a had a phone for a couple years, but they were never all that great. I now have a htc one though, but I still see a kind of divide at school between people who don't have a phone or a pretty crap one and the people who have an expensive phone like the Iphone fans and someother people like me who have high end android phones.

Quite the opposite, they're much cheaper off contract.

You're just paying less up front.

I didn't get a cell phone until I was in 7th grade, and it was NOT an iphone. I had a crappy flip phone. Giving an iphone to anyone under 13 is ridiculous if you ask me.

Dat upfront cost with no contract.

The benefits of no contract outweigh paying for it in full upfront anyway.

You end up paying a fair bit more for the phone over time on contract.

Got my first smartphone in 9th grade and that thing changed my life.

What I'm more surprised about than anything is how many people responding like they are the target of that story. Is LTT really popular with kids for some reason?
