My weird poison ivy resistance

I hate poison ivy. I never get it on my legs, arms , hands,  or feet, but when it touches anywhere else, I get the rash. I dont itch though. I once had it on my ass from my bathing suit. Plus, I just learned today that everything I thought was poison ivy, is strawberry! What kind of experience do you have with it?

I actually don't remember seeing poison ivy in a long time, neither ever touched it. All though, I have had some experiences Stinging Nettle. Back when I was in poland for vacation, we were walking along the side of a small hill and climbing them. On the hill, everything of the right was just like a huge jungle of nettle. We teased pushing each other into, thankfully no one actually did fall into it tho. I did touch it tho just to try, and it did sting a little. However, when we where climbing up a different really steep hill where some historic WWII landmark was, i was using my hands to grab on the side of the hill to climb it. I hadn't even noticed, but all of a sudden when I reached down to grab the land, I stuck my hand and grabed a pile of nettle. Dang, that hurt.

I remember my neighbor was this crazy lady and she would always bring over sumac tea. My mother told me to never drink it because it can kill you. Yeah I think the crazy lady was trying to kill me.

Quite a lot of poison oak that used to be at my grandparent's place (big farm). I used to get it all the time, I'd come back from summer vacations with rashes all over (I was 9). Eventually, my grandfather grabbed a gas mask and small flamethrower and went to town on the poison oak. Worked. Hadn't seen the stuff since.
