It needs to be new.

And I'm working on a project of our National education ministry, so we will be ordering approximately 15,000 of the laptops. So we need suggestions.

I'm just a student who is related to this project. I'll be suggesting them about which laptop we should use.

And we order from abroad too.

Excellent because a quick search of the local PC market is less than enticing at that price point. Do you need windows machines or is something like a Linux based laptop or  Chromebook an acceptable solution?

best I could find is not really in the budget https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Cloudbook-14-Inch-AO1-431-C7F9-Personal/dp/B014YN6YZ8?ie=UTF8&SubscriptionId=AKIAICE7LOAJMK3SSLPA&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B014YN6YZ8&linkCode=xm2&psc=1&tag=pcm_buyitnow-20 it's $20 over and while I don't doubt you could get a discount for a bulk order of 15000 of them without actually talking to the manufacturer I'm not sure I want to recommend a product with only 64GB of storage and less than 4GB of ram.

GDRRiley's option is ok and is in budget but has even less storage space and suffers from the same ram limitations.

Your best bet would probably be to send an inquiry out to some manufacturers or large distributors as you are buying in quite high volume and may be eligible to some educational deals that are not visible from the consumer or standard educational web stores.

Edit: ASUS ACER Lenovo and HP all have low cost 14 inch laptops that might be worth inquiring about.

Hi there,

I would suggest an Asus r417ma (I am typing on that right now), it is a great laptop for around 200usd. It is pretty fast at starting up for its price point (compared to a more than 4 times more expensive unit of mine). It comes with 2gb of ram, and that’s enough for windows 10, while watching YouTube with a lot of chrome tabs open. So don’t listen to those noobs who are saying you can’t use 2gb of ram, because they have probably never tried it themselves. It is really no problem, when I watch YouTube and browse the internet (with a lot of chrome tabs 10-20 tabs) and have word open at the same time it only uses 1,8gb.

For storage it has a 32gb ssd, and an expansion slot for any 2,5” drive of your choice, (so you can have two storage options at the same time). And most people now a day will probably use cloud storage anyway.

If you have any questions about this laptop feel free to ask.

It is also the same laptop as GDRRiley also posted, it just has another name I think.

I forgot to tell you that it has all the requirements that you listed (usb 3.0, RJ45 jack, etc).
