Recommened PSU for GTX 690?

TravisB

Hello,

I may be buying a GTX 690 for cheap to go inside a micro atx pc build coming up. Whats a good power supply that can handle z170, overclocking gpu and cpu, custom water cooling and can take 2x GTX 690 for 4 way sli if I want to upgrade in the future.

Thanks.

Those cards are masive and your putting them in Micro-ATX ? good luck mate.you will never be able to put 2 690's in SLI in a Micro-ATX pc

When life gives you drugs you sell them for a living.

any 500w with 2 8 (6+2) or 4 6 pins is enough

source had one until last week

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

The 690s are dual-slot, so they'll fit inside of a Micro-ATX case (like the Corsair 350D or the Air 240) Cards that you will never be able to fit two of in Micro-ATX cases are triple-slot cards (or cards that are dual slot, but are technically triple-slot) like the GeForce GTX Titan Z, PowerColor Devil 13 R9 390, or the Zotac GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP Extreme.

1.If you plan on putting 2 690's in a micro atx build its not worth it

2.The Heat that the 690's output would be bigger than a r9 290 when they are that close pretty much touching each other

3.If you have a giant cooler the card might not fit very rare but possible

4.The cards would be very close to the PSU so the PSU would just be sucking up hot air

Unless he plans on doing custom watercooling using dual 280mm 30mm thick radiators, then I would agree. But hey, that hasn't stopped anybody from doing the impossible, right? I mean someone has done it (though with one 690 and 60mm thick rads) in a Corsair 350D!

SLI 690s? That seems ridiculous to me, why not a single 1070...? For SLI 690s I'd recommend a 1000W PSU since that's four way SLI. Check out the EVGA G2 for ya there
