What is the MSRP of the 1070 supposed to be?

Nevermind, I found it... I think it's best to wait it out if you can...

I suspect other drops will take place when there are enough on the market. Rather just wait.

I wholeheartedly agree. I can't really fault anyone for buying cause I'm stoked to buy a 1070 myself but I don't plan on buying until it's at the price it was promised it would be.

At the end of the URL you linked is to (when shortened) is that referral link a LTT based account or a personal one? Or is it not a referral at all?

Edit:

I'm just going to tag people who have posted in this topic to see what they think:

You're going to be waiting awhile. That $379 price is just msrp, it was never a promised price. MSRP is just a suggested retail price, and the actual price is whatever consumers are willing to pay. We already knew that the Founder Edition cards were going to be $449, and pretty much all non reference cards are going to be $429 and up (people are willing to pay). When it comes to tech waiting never really works, before you know it the next generation will be out.

I don't know if I would buy a GTX 1070/80 from Massdrop right now.  You won't get it fast and it might be cheaper in a store by the time you wait the month or two it takes to get it from them.

url edited to remove referral

The hyperlinked text in the post still contains a referral link, I don't know if it was re-added or was just a mistake. (Sorry for being a pest)
