BF4 beta HEAVILY unoptimized?

Hirad123

I can run it on Max with 1440p with 49FPS.
Only sometimes there are giant Fps drops.

Beta unoptimized? What an outrage! I've never heard such nonsense.

I'm dropping down as low as 2 fps sometimes. Most of the fps drops are between 4-16fps. Getting drops even at deployment screen.

I still think it's more of a driver problem than the game itself. I've experienced similar problems with bad drivers on bf3, not so long ago. Although, the game must still be polished, that's for sure...

Did they totally f*ck NVidia while optimizing the game? I don't know what frames do AMD guys get, but I think that 10-20FPS while being shot at (low settings) is very low for my GTX660, that GPU is actually RECOMMENDED by the devs so I don't understand this. In normal tank gameplay I get 40-50FPS, but once something explodes I get a drop to 10-20FPS aswell.

Yeah its beta, Open Beta...makes me wonder how did the Closed Beta go? Anyone here with AMD Hardware??? Yo lagging bro?

I thought this was the closed beta, I'm pretty sure open beta comes out the 3rd.

And yes, it's beta, there are gonna be bugs

its beta..

Regardless. The only reason for beta anymore is server testing. They usually run older versions of the game. But still, if that's your excuse than the devs have A LOT of work to do in one month before release. It's really just EA and DICE being lazy and choosing a bad version of the game.

Something must be wrong I get 100% CPU usage and 8 frames on all minimum settings. Its from the CPU not the gpu that the lag seems to be coming from.

I have no prblems, the game uses resources roughly the same as BF3 on conquest siege of shanghai. I DIDN'T UPDATE MY DRIVERS.

Tried 3 different drivers still doing the same thing with and with out Physix installed.

PhysX wouldn't do anything anyways, as it is not implemented into the game.

Mine's working okay

Bit nuts in the first hour of Beta, everyone making connections at the same time... smoothed out over a bit of time.

Getting nice frames even tho its CPU heavy, 45-55% CPU @ 4.2ghz, and my 7950OC.  50-65fps avg with big increment dips under massive stress.

Good enough to record it with.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Be mindful it's a beta, I've made it to the end of quite a few games, but I have experienced freezing quite frequently in others.
