Love it so much :D

But if don't like the Cosmos 2 what is your favorite entusiast case? :)

Just wondering for future builds :)

Depends on the budget and whether you want to WC it.

I love the LD cases,Caselabs are also very nice if you like oversized.

At the moment,in the normal case division,Im a fan of the Air 540...something about that cube makes my man parts tingle....

While I really love my SMH10, I would love to do a build in a LD PC-V7.

To my eyes it has pretty much perfect proportions, phenomenal rad capacity

for its size and I really like how it looks in general.

BTW., been wondering: What's the build quality on LD cases, especially

the alu panel thickness? One of the things I like so much about Caselabs

is how sturdy they are, how do the LD cases compare to that in your opinion?

Thanks :) I was just wondering about the balls to the walls best case which ain't bigger then the Cosmos 2 and yes in my next build I will watercool :)

Cube cases are quite awesome but i am not really fan of well...the cube form

I would actually have loved to see a case which where formed like a a wider V :) Kind of like a W without the one in the middle :)

This way it could fit snuggly into a corner... :)

The CL stuff is thicker Alu and i like the panel over frame design plus you can buy spares easily. Downside is that everything is an extra.

The LD case is cheaper for the EU buyers and is a solid design but has bolt on panels which can be a PITA.

Build quality is the same between them.

The LD stuff comes in more colours tho.

It a case of what catches your eye most really, nothing between them.

Good to know, thanks for the info! :)

From the photos I saw I've always been rather impressed with the paint

job on the LD, I just never found anything regarding material strength.

The panel over frame design is one of the things I like about CL as well,

though as you say it definitely does not drive prices down (and that's

besides all the extras one can/needs to buy, as you mention).

Ah well, can't have everything. I'll certainly be drooling over the V7

for quite a while, even though by the time I'd be able to afford another

build I'm not sure I could quite find a proper use for that case (it would

probably need to be another server with lots of HDD slots for future long

term expansion).

The powdercoat on the V8 is awesome, very flat, thick and even.

The CL S3 i have is in primer so i cant comment on the coating

Yeah that's what it looks like in pictures as well, really nice!

The coat on my SMH10 is very textured, if you rub your skin over

it, you will leave quite a bit of yourself on the case.

Personally I like how it looks, but I suppose some people might

prefer something less rough.

It is very resilient to mechanical damage though. While assembling

my case I slipped with the screw driver (just once, I promise :D ),

and it left barely a mark. I was really impressed. You can scratch

if of course (as you can any coat), but it does require significant

force.
