Watercooled Polaris 10 with 390 performance for $400?

SteveGrabowski0

Doesn't have a clue what he's on about.

No reason for AMD to release a product that already performs the same as their previous products. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz

Wouldn't surprise me if true. Polaris 10 is supposed to be mid-range, Vega will destroy it...

Smile and wave boys, smile and wave...

Is this some kind of sick joke? From an XFX employee:

XFX is prolly just salty as fuck as they are probably getting brickwalled by AMD this time around. Last year, XFX and Powercolor invited people to closed rooms and spoiled AMDs launch event of the 300 series right before computex. I think this pissed off AMD more then just a little bit. So i bet AMD isnt sharing more info then they need to with XFX with time around.

XFX is shite tho tbf.

They were "banned" from OcUK for a few years as well, due to their quality being sub-par and having terrible/non-existent customer support.

Also this image was just "leaked". If it matches the 980, I expect the 480X to be around FuryX performance hopefully. That should mean the 490 and 490X are significantly faster than a Titan X/1080 ( one can hope ).

Not long now until AMD hopefully show something real at Computex in a few hours.

You all can rest easy and be assured that Polaris 10 will perform better than a 390. No tech company releases a product that performs worse and costs more then a last gen product. And given that Polaris 10 is targeting a $300 price point and the 390 is about $300-310 right now, I'm sure you can see what follows.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

5.5 TFLOPS is right in between R9 390 and R9 390x performance. And that's the X model of the card.

That is not the X model. It clearly says RX 480.

Also, TFLOPS comparisons don't really translate well to real world performance comparisons... Though they are a decent general guide.

290 to 390. 290x to 390x.

I do agree though, I doubt it'll happen again.

Stop speculating and just wait. Ignore all other sources unless it's actually from AMD.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I'm sick and tired of speculating on polaris 10's performance. But I won't be ale to upgrade before next year anyway

Dios mio... How unprofessional can one be?

"hey guys, I'm a hardware engineer. Let me do some dodgy market research because we don't have a marketing department"

Jesus. No wonder they are banned from touching anything that's even remotely secret.

The second letter in the name is X. They shifted the X from the back to the front of the name.

Quoting the word of someone from an AIB manufacturer is hardly speculation.

Are you certain that that is how it is going to work?
So the non X version will just be R 480?

I should say it looks like they just moved the X to the front. I imagine the cut down card will be R9 480.

Still, it's like saying you should trust the word from NCIX or newegg...no, not the actual company, shouldn't trust their word. Just wait till it's released.
