Recommend me a HTML editor

As title says give me a recommendation and your reason for suggesting it compared to other editors. I currently use CodeLobster as my main editor, I have tryed brackets but it didnt seem to offer any additional benefits.

I use notepad++ for pretty much all my coding.

Sublime Text or Atom. Atom has unmatched git support if your projects use it. Sublime text is quick and easy, not to mention sh*t loads of plugins. Sublime + SFTP plugin are my go to. Notepad++ is just ugly and the FTP plugins are meh from when I used to use it. Dreamweaver is awesome, it used to be my main driver, but there's just too much stuff I don't need... Like "design view"... Ew. 

 

EDIT: Oh, and dreamweaver just fails and dies with anything other than a simple network set up, it just can't handle files well between my desktop, my testing servers, localhost server and home network server

would recommend Atom.io (free, i mainly use this), sublime text (free, but for professional use it's paid), webstorm (paid) but the jetbrains IDEs have alot of support for built in debugging and such so if you're doing this as your job i'd recommend webstorm

the integration with the github client is also handy with atom.io

I use Visual Studio

I switched from Notepad++ (crashing too much) over GVim and Sublime Text to Emacs and I'm quite happy with it, especially because of the "multi-modes", allowing me to work with CSS inside a HTML part inside a PHP file even better.

 

Use Emacs.

Well this is weird, first time I ever had to download packages for an editor. Do you have any packages that you would recommend me getting?

That's because the "editor" is basically a WebKit with a lot of bloat plunged in.

Now its this plus figureing out how to filter between all these packages that do the same thing and figuring out which ones better.

I have heard some really excellent things about Webstorm... but it's pricey.

Dreamweaver, if you can get a license for it.

And yes, I use Dreamweaver because I can't be bothered to work locally and then upload files to the server so I just work directly off of the server itself.

 

Then there's Notepad++ which I used to replace the crusty Windows Notepad

I personally use Atom, but for front end, I think Brackets is the best thing ever. If you didn't see any benefits of it, you clearly didn't use the live editing option

I did, but I still can't see the benefits.
