gtx 980ti vs gtx 1070

Go to solution Solved by Fennex,

I'd say wait for that video. Judging by pre-release benchmarks, the 1070 would be a better choice. The 1080 looks massively overpowered, though.

in a few days, a lot of videos will be published with gtx 1070's benchmarks
do i shall wait for them and choose gpu after that? and whats your opinion about gtx 1080

The gtx 1070 looks like it will be cut down more than most expected. The 1080 seems okay so long as you don't waste money and buy the founders edition like a moron. What is your current gpu and budget? I recommend waiting a bit.

the founders edition is just reference

they didnt say any shit to sell more

they put the price $100 higher to sell less and not compete with board partners

unless you want their cooler design, just buy an aftermarket one for $100 less

they will be available at launch, or maybe a week or two late

the point of the founders edition is only if you really need it on launch day, otherwise only an idiot would buy it (no offense)

Winning an argument with a woman step by step

step one - talk to her

step two - fight with her for 2 hours even if you are really right

step three - admit that she is right for the sake of your safety

step four - realize that you have accomplished nothing and she still thinks you were wrong and now she thinks you are even more stupid

yeah but they say it will help for more oc and some better cooling
in my opinion, they it wont happen, like 1080 score twice the performance of 2 980 sli as i checked on the benchmarks

aftermarket cards will be available on launch day, just like they were with the 900 series

$380 USD to pounds + a bit more
just like current GPUs are slightly more expensive in the UK

no they did not say that

that was a bunch of uninformed BS spread by people

its just a blower cooler

the 1080 does perform better than 980 SLI in almost every benchmark

just like nvidia claimed

AFAIK no. They will not be available on launch day, it will take maybe a week or even two for other brands to get their cards out.

yeah they will
go look at the 900 series releases
most were within a week or the same day as the reference cards
just depends which stores got the shipment on time
