How bad did I screw up?

I don't really know about diablo, but I got flash games running at 30-60 FPS with a pentium 3. So no joke you can.

AMD is terrible dude, I can't run them on this laptop. AMD A10 7300 quad core 1.9GHZ turbo to 3.2 which it never does, 8g ram, it can't even run flash games. No joke. It's terrible.

Huh? That shouldn't be the case - the A10 Kaveri APUs are fairly powerful

You can try.

Minining severely reduces the life of the GPU though.

As long as games run without freezing you can live with your PSU. If it starts doing it in games then it's a must to replace. Your OC is neat :D

Not mining like overnight, just 1-2 hours overnight. I got to donate to my favorite streamer that way :D.

Not freezing, tho case temps  with the OCed GPU can reach 43 degrees. Tho I don't have fans in my system. I know I need to cover that. But if I go well in my finals, i think i will be able to make myself a treat :D

thanks about that! :D

It's terrible, honestly. I can't play SAS4 zombie assault, don't know if you've heard of it, its a flash game but it isn't all the graphicly intense however there is a ton of zombies that could be bogging it down. I don't know why this thing lags so bad honestly, I have all 4 cores toggled and every driver up to date. I even have the AMD control panel settings set to performance not quality, still no dice. And this thing NEVER turbo's, don't know if its power or cooling or what but I never see it go above 1.80

Just make sure the PSU doesn't overheat (CX do that) and you will be fine

As for mining - that's a Power Virus which pushes your hardware beyond spec and can cause severe damage

Really?! I mean, Linus always points out that low-end CPUs are an AMD territory. And that guy has significatly more knowledge on that topic.

Check temps. If it's an HP/Acer/Low end Asus it WILL overheat

With my desk fan blowing at the exhaust port while rendering a 1080P video (I guess that pushes load to max) it gets to around 57-60 celcius, 95% cpu utilization.

Ok, I'm cutting it, because the fans are real noisy and as a d1khead i am, i wear my headphones with one earcup on only.

Yeah, the fans are only loud cause the software used for mining abuses the GPU core - hence why mining farms are in large werehouses with dozens of ACs

Hmmm. @Prysin

Just put it in a tray and fill tray with water. That's how Linus fixes thermal issues with laptops.

That is the reccomended way. The youtuber way.

You're completely fine, with no GPU, it won't blow up until it overheats :P

Can I just add in one observation with mining? From what I can see (mining right now), my core temps are sitting at 58C with VRMs one and two at 55C and 71C which isn't high at all but when you compare this after an hour of GTA 5 session, my core temps would be around 65C with VRMs 1 at 65-70C (depending on the OC I've dialed in) and VRM 2 being literally the same. Doesn't mean it's less stressful but it seem dissipate less heat :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
