so in the hanger i get like 60 FPS everything is fine but as soon as I go to port olisar or arccorp it goes to shit, all the way down to the low 20s in FPS . I have already added it to the nvidia control panel manually but its still happening. anyone know how to fix this

Make sure you are running version 3 or up. I had that problem but after 3.0 I got around 200fps

I believe its a server side thing, pretty common for an alpha. 2.4 should have better optimization

2.3.1 fixed some stuff, but also broke a bunch. I have heard from our members that somethings could have changed server side over the couple of days, because FPS seems to have increased.

2.4 should bring the necessary fixes, but can yet again break stuff as lots of exciting features are implemented.

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

Right now .. The game is just as optimised as a potato to make tomato sauce ..

I am one of those rare beings who play start citizen on a potato laptop ..

I get around 23fps in the game at 1080p on very high settings ..

And .. I get about 30 fps on 800x600 resolution and lowest settings ...

So .. Now you know why you get low performance ..

The game is still in alpha right now.. The performance will improve over time as they start making the sauce using tomatoes ..
