i7-6700k 4.2 GHz/1.350 V, 92 degrees Max during RealBench, what should I do?

3 hours ago, done12many2 said:

No at your current 4.5 GHz at 1.3v.  Run the CPU test (all cores, not single) for 4 to 5 times.

If it doesn't crash, you're going back into BIOS and dropping it to 1.29v.

Done.

4.5GHz

1.3 V

I will run the stress now.

Yep.  Run it a few more times and if it doesn't crash go back into BIOS and drop your CPU voltage to 1.29v.

Cinebench is a fast down and dirty way to test your CPU as you search for rough CPU speed/voltage settings.  You're still going to test long term stability once we get closer to your final voltage.

Done, I run it 6 times and everything is fine.

Good to go.  Remember, we're going to add more voltage back in for stability testing, but we want to figure out what bottom is first.

I think you might be able to see why you were having temp issues now?  You've learned a bit about ambient room temps and a little about excessive voltage.  :D

DONE!. FINALLY.

I have received a blue screen of hell itself.

I had and I have right now 1.250 V.

Something funny happened to me, I was recording a video for you and I receive the blue screen in that moment ahaha, I'm uploading it right now to share with you.

Okay, increase it to 1.26v and rerun Cinebench.  If it passes again, we're going to start your long term stability testing.  Don't get overly excited as we may be adding a bit more voltage back in.

That's funny.  Now it's time to get it back to functional and then start stability testing.

I did the test 4 times and it passed perfectly.

What now?

Fire up RealBench and let it run.  It'll probably crash, just a fair warning.  :D

OK, I will leave it for 30m. I will go to eat something quick to the kitchen.

See photo below of my temps right after Cinebench.

Remember I have on Power Option: Balanced selected

Like I said, it wasn't going to work.  Go into BIOS and add back .01v.  Retry RealBench after that.

Something to consider is that you may want to buy something like AIDA64 Extreme in the future so that you can set up On Screen Displays on your desktop so that you can monitor all system vitals regularly.  You'll learn a great deal about your PC's hardware by doing this.

An example of the OSD on my desktop.
